Preparations for the African Manifestations
2017-01-28

Dr. Azzam President of the African Cycling Confederation (CAC), Secretary General Allah Kouamé, Technical Delegate of the International Cycling Union (UCI) Laurent Bezault and 2 technicians from the Egyptian Cycling Federation travelled from 11 to 12 January to Luxor in southern Egypt. As you know, it is this city that will host in February first the Congress of the CAC, then the continental road championships.
The mission led by President Azzam was to make the final adjustments with the city's authorities before the arrival of the delegations.
Thus Dr. Azzam and his collaborators were received by the Secretary General of the Governorate and then by the Governor himself. All questions relating to the opening and closing ceremonies, the safety of the competitions were discussed and all arrangements were made.
The Governor promised to make the next continental championships a festival of African youth.

The route was reviewed by Laurent Bezault and the final choice was made.
