Today, the only representative for Africa in Track discipline in Rio Olympic Games, The female rider Ebtissam MOHAMED from Egypt will start the qualifications stage for Women's Sprint race.
Ebtissam MOHAMED, born on 25/09/1996 (only 19 years) cyclist of road race, was starting track since about two years along with road race. After UCI declared her qualification to Rio Olympic Games, she starts with her coach Mohamed Ibrahim the preparation in World Cycling Center as the velodrome in Egypt is still under construction. Although this major obstacle (the lack of a track venue in her country) she made continued and determined efforts to confirm Africa presence in Track discipline.
