With a distance of 1.105 kilometers and 10 stages within a closed circuit, the first edition for the Tour of Angola "Volta a Angola" in cycling marked the celebration of the country's 40th independence anniversary. The event started in Cuito city, central Bié province and ended in Luanda with the participation of 200 cyclists from Sao Tome and Principe, Mozambique, DR Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Portugal and France besides Angola
The race took place during the period from 07-18 October 2015.
The president of the African Cycling Confederation "CAC" Dr. Wagih Azzam attended the event.
There was an audience granted by the Minister of Youth & Sport Gonçalves
Muandumba, to CAC President and the president of Angolan Cycling Federation (FACI) Mr. Diógenes de Oliveira, followed by a press conference.
