Africa hosts the 2017 para-cycling road world championship in Pietermaritzburg

In an effort of Africa to support and raise the awareness against para-cycling around the world, Pietermaritzburg hosts the 2017 para-cycling road world championships from august 31st to September 3rd.
As Pietermaritzburg hosted before numerous cycling events including para-cycling road world cup events in 2015 and 2016 and also it is known as one of Africa’s bike cities.
The time trial events were held at the Midmar Dam reserve on 31 august and 01 September, while road race events started and finished in the heart of Pietermaritzburg at Alexandra Park on 2-3 September.
